Beef birria tacos are a traditional Mexican dish known for their deep, comforting flavour and rich aroma. They’re made with beef that’s slowly braised for hours in a spiced broth of dried chillies, tomatoes, garlic, herbs, and warming spices until the meat is incredibly tender and easy to shred.
The shredded beef along with cheese is tucked into corn tortillas that have been lightly dipped in the birria consommé, then filled and pan-fried until crisp on the outside while staying juicy inside.
